The Congress and JDS alliance is unlikely to continue in the election for Rajarajeshwarinagar constituency to be held on Monday, May 28. The election for the constituency was postponed by the Election Commission due to electoral malpractices.

According to reports, Janata Dal (Secular) has not yet decided on extending support to Congress candidate Muniratna. JDS has instructed its candidate GH Ramchandra to be prepared for any decision. Kumaraswamy held discussions with the party leader till Thursday night regarding the issue. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is unlikely to extend support to Muniratna who is facing charges in connection with the seizure of voter cards.

In an exclusive conversation with Times Now, Congress leader DK Shivakumar said that they have requested JD(S) to support Congress candidates in Rajarajeshwarinagar and Jayanagar assembly constituencies elections and he hopes that JDS will also understand the actual position. With barely three days left for the elections in Rajarajeshwarinagar, JD(S) leaders appealed to the Congress leaders to support its candidate in the constituency.
