Karnataka election: lowest margins of victory

In the recently concluded Karnataka assembly elections, the highest margin of victory was 81,626 and the lowest was 90. In the Pulakeshinagar constituency, Akhanda Srinivasamurthy of the Congress beat the BJP's Susheela Devraj of the BJP by 81, 626 votes. Let us take a look at the closest contests in the Karnataka assembly elections.

The lowest margin was reported from the Devar Hiipargi Constituency. 

1. Devar Hippargi Constituency: BJP Somanagouda B Patil (Sasanur) won by 90 votes against B S Patil of Congress.
2. Maski: Pratapgouda Patil won by a margin of 213 votes against BJP's Basanagowda-Turvihal.
3. Pavagada: Venkataramanappa of Congress won by 409 votes against the BJP's G V Balaram.
4. Hirekerur: Basavanagouda Patil of Congress won by 555 votes against BJP's Ujaneshwara Banakar.
5. Kundgol: Channabasappa Sathyappa Shivalli won by 634 votes against the BJP' Siddnagouda Ishwaragouda Chikkanagoudra.
6. Aland: BJP's Guttedar Subhash Rukmayya won by 697 votes against the Congress's B R Patil.
7. Yellapur: Arabail Hebbar Shivaram won by 1,483 votes against the BJP's Andalagi Veerabhadragouda Shivanagouda Patil.
8. Sindhanur: Badarli Hampangouda of the Congress won against the BJP's Kolla Sheshagirirao by 1,587 votes.
9. Badami: Siddaramaiah of the Congress won by 1,696 votes against BJP's B Sriramulu.
10. Krishnarajanagara: S R Mahesh of the JD(S) beat the Congress's Ravishankar D by 1,779 votes.
11. Gadag: H K Patil of the Congress won by 1,868 votes against Anil Mensinakai of the BJP.
12. Sringeri: T D Rajegowda of the Congress won by 1,989 votes against D N Jeevraj of the BJP.
