The battle at Chamundeshwari is getting dirty. The JD(S) is hell bent upon defeating Siddaramaiah and to take him they have fielded G T Deve Gowda who is the sitting MLA. Things took a turn for the worse when a group of JD(S) workers allegedly attacked four workers of the rival party at Naganahalli.

It may recalled that it was here that the workers had created a ruckus when actor Darshan conducted a roadshow in support of Siddaramaiah. The injured workers are undergoing treatment at a hospital. The eye-witnesses said that the JD(S) workers had come with iron rods and machetes. They came on a motor cycle and provoked the Congress workers. Siddaramaiah and Gowda are locked in a tight battle at Chamundeshwari. The JD(S) has vowed to defeat the the CM and has been consolidating the voters, especially the Vokkaligas in this constituency. Siddaramaiah is also contesting from the Badami seat and is rivals say this is because he is afraid of losing Chamundeshwari. This has however been denied by the CM.
