As Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual interaction with 224 BJP candidates and party workers across Karnataka were underway, Congress took a jibe at PM Modi's vision of development for the state. At the outset PM Modi outlined a three-pronged approach for the development of Karnataka, saying "Development, Fast paced development and All round Development."

"BJP has given primary importance for politics of development," he added. Karnataka Congress hit back at PM Modi's approach by invoking former CM BS Yeddyurappa and Reddy brothers names in its tweet. Congress tweeted, "BJP has a three-pronged agenda for Karnataka, - Development of Corrupt Yeddy-Reddys - Fast paced Development of Corrupt Yeddy-Reddys - All round Development of Corrupt Yeddy-Reddys. BJP has given primary importance for Politics of Corruption!". PM Modi took questions MLAs and advised them on organisational skills at booth level and reaching out to people in their constituencies. The virtual interaction was a curtain raiser to PM Modi's rallies in Karnataka ahead of assembly elections on May 12.
