H D Kumaraswamy : Will contest from Ramanagara again for upcoming Assembly polls

Mandya: With speculations arising over the constituency from which JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy would be contesting for the upcoming Assembly polls, it has now been made clear that HDK will not change his constituency.

HDK, who is busy fortifying and organising the party for the 2018 polls has confirmed that he will contest from Ramanagara constituency again and that there is no reason for him to contemplate on changing the constituency.

Speaking to reporters, HDK said that there is pressure on him to contest from North Karnataka, but a statement in this regard will be released soon.

"There are good numbers of aspirants wanting to contest from JD(S) ticket. Deliberations will be held to decide on the suitable candidate in every constituency," he said adding that the JD(S) will not entertain any rebellion within the party.

Meanwhile, he said that Congress leader H Vishwanath will be welcomed into the JD(S) fold and stage for this event is getting ready.

"Vishwanath will be honoured with suitable position," said HDK adding that entry and exit of leaders from one party to another is normal and an expected phenomenon, which need not cause worry to anyone.
