Mangaluru: District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai said that Modi-led BJP government has only been giving speeches and assurances to the people. However it has failed to deliver on these assurances after three years of governance in the centre.

The Congress leader further said that in the three years of Modi-led BJP governance there has been a rise in unemployment, distress among farmers, lack of law and order and internal security in the country.

"When UPA was in power BJP had opposed GST and Aadhar card but now they are boasting as if they had come up with these proposals. Though they had in their speeches given several assurances to the people prior to the elections they have failed to deliver on the same.

BJP had assured of providing employment opportunity to two crore people but only 6 lakh people got employment opportunity in three years. After implementing the demonetizing currency in the country, the BJP said that it will help reduce the Kashmiri and Naxalite issues but the same are still persisting," he said.

He also said that union government had filed an affidavit with Supreme Court of India that it cannot provide supportive price to farmers.BJP is showing a step-motherly attitude towards state issues like releasing funds, Kaveri issue and Mahadayi issue. MLA JR Lobo, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Ibrahim Kodijal and others were present.
