BJP leader K S Eshwarappa inspects Rayanna Brigade's convention venue in Raichur

Raichur: BJP leader K S Eshwarappa, who had earlier avoided meeting BJP Karnataka in-charge Muralidhar Rao, has stated that it was indeed disheartening that the BJP internal crisis has not yet been solved and that the committee designated to solve the crisis is not doing its bit.

Shocking, but true, amidst all the drama at the state and with stern warnings to the leaders to maintain distance from the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade, Eshwarappa, the rebel leader was seen supervising the preparation for the Brigade Convention slated to be held in Raichur on May 8. He said that what has fueled the dissent is the passiveness of the committee assigned to solve the state BJP crisis.

Continuing his attack on BJP State Chief B S Yeddyurappa, he said that if BSY had not broken ties with the BJP and floated the Karnataka Janata Party, then the Congress would have never come to power at the state. Speaking about the Brigade, he said that the organisation is helping the poor and suppressed and it is not into any kind of political activity.

"Like Amit Shah says, the BJP will come to power in the state and BSY will become the CM of the state. But the very idea of what kind of CM we want is questionable now. We do not want a CM who would come to power on basis of 'resort politics'. We want a CM who would come to power on his own terms and with support of MLAs who have struggled for the BJP," he said adding that he has no official communication about the BJP National Executive to be held in Mysuru on May 6 and 7.
