University of Mysore receives award at Rashtrapathi Bhavan

Mysuru: Dayanand Mane, Vice chancellor (in-charge) , University of Mysore and Lingaraja Gandhi, Director Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Board and Nodal Officer for Ranking, University of Mysore (UoM) received the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) award on behalf of the varsity (medal and certificate) at a function hosted at Rashtrapathi Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Monday where President Pranab Mukherjee presided.

The University of Mysore was ranked 36 (University category) among 774 universities across the country in the national survey conducted by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and is the only conventional public university from Karnataka State to figure in the NIRF Ranking-2017 and stands 57th position in the overall ranking. It aims to be among the top ten in the country by next year.
