Refined palmolein edges up on good demand

Refined palmolein prices were trading marginally up at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on good demand from retailers.

Elsewhere, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial gained further owing to rising demand from soaps and shippers industries. Linseeds oil rebounded due to renewed demand from paint and allied industries. While, groundnut oil ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity. In the edibles section, refined palmolein edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 718 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 716 and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 860. Moving to the non-edibles segment, castor seeds bold rose by Rs 20 per 100 kg to Rs 4,130 as against Rs 4,110 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 856 as compared to Rs 852 yesterday. Linseeds oil regained by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 780 from Rs 775 previously.
