Mangaluru: BJP state President B S Yeddyurappa has arrived at Jyothi circle, the starting point of the Mangaluru Chalo rally. He is accompanied by MP Shobha Karandlaje, CT Ravi, Aravind Limbavali, Sunil Kumar, Jagadish Shettar, Prahlad Joshi, local MP Nalin Kumar and BJP Yuva Morcha state president Pratap Simha.

The rally will commence from Jyothi circle and head towards Nehru Maidan whereafter the activists are likely to stage a dharna outside the DC's office here despite the restrictive orders.

Addressing the huge gathering here, Pratap Simha said that the Congress government had withdrawn several cases involving the PFI, KFD, SDPI activists. These outfits were involved in the deaths of Hindu activists.

Terming Chief minister Siddaramaiah's regime as a that of a Sultan (Emperor), he said change can be brought only when Yeddyurappa becomes the chief minister.

We are organising this protest to mount pressure on the state government, said Simha. One of the main demands of the rally is a ban on the PFI, KFD, SDPI outfits
