K R Hospital likely to get stretchers and wheelchairs through BRBNML CSR funds

Mysuru: Through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from the Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran (P) Limited (BRBNML), the government run K R Hospital will soon get the much needed wheelchairs and stretchers for patients. It may also get a shelter to provide seating space for patients' relatives and friends.

During a meeting with Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudrana (P) Limited (BRBNML) officials agreed to his proposal to provide wheelchairs and other basic requirements to K R Hospital under Corporation Social Responsibility fund.

S Chandrashekar, Superintendent of K R Hospital said, “Everyday the number of patients coming to K R Hospital is increasing. At an average including the repeaters and outpatients, everyday more than 2000 people visit the hospital. Hence to meet the growing demand, we had requested the deputy commissioner for 25 wheelchairs and stretchers, 50 cots and beds, locker facilities for patients and drip stand.

The DC immediately brought this to the notice of BRBNML officials who readily accepted to provide the same through their CSR fund.” K R Hospital is a 1050 bedded hospital which caters to the medical requirements of not only people from across the district but also from the neighbouring districts including Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Kodagu.Apart from this,based on a request from Dr. Radhamani, Superintendent, Cheluvamba Hospital to provide shelter to patients' attendants, Randeep also passed on the proposal to BRBNML.

Randeep also instructed all the corporates to get approval before taking up any work under CSR fund so that the work undertaken is not repeated. He also instructed them to provide details about the events and programmes which would be undertaken through CSR fund for the year 2017-18.
