CM Siddaramaiah promises job mela for Mysuru youths

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday batted for the people of his hometown by promising a mammoth job mela for unemployed youth of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts in October.

Reviewing the programmes of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department, Siddaramaiah directed the officials to ensure that unemployed men and women attended the employment fair in great numbers. 

He also directed them to ensure that locals in and around Mysuru are able to reap benefits from the increasing number of industries being set up in the region.A plan to hold similar fairs in all districts is also on the anvil.

The state will also create a website where unemployed people can register for jobs. The Department will take up the responsibility of training, counselling and also placing them in jobs.
