Mangaluru: Veteran Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary has been criticising the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government at the state, but Tuesday, June 13, Poojary took his criticism to another level by asking CM Siddaramaiah to take a leaf of lesson or two on farmers' loan waiver from BJP ruled states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Prades

Addressing a news conference, Poojary started off with a recent incident of a farmer ending life in Haveri and continued his tirade against the CM.

Demanding both the Chief Minister of Karnataka and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign from their respective posts for failing to tackle the farmer suicide trend, Poojary said that the repeated and increasing cases of farmer suicide is shaming the nation.

"Our CM is in 'sleep-mode' and this government is not showing any signs of morality. It is an egoistic government and this government will not come to power in future polls," predicted Poojary adding that every time farmers' loan waiver issue is taken up, the CM points at the Centre.

"This is not an issue pertaining to political parties, it is an issue concerning humanity," he said announcing that till the CM responds to the pangs of the farmers, he will continue to attack him through the press.

Commenting on the recent birthday celebration of MLA Moideen Bava, as part of which he had distributed books to school kids having his own images on cover pages, Poojary said that while distributing books was indeed a great act, printing his pictures on it shows two things- that the MLA was in urgency to project himself to the people of his constituency and that he had not visited his own people in the constituency so far!
