Plastic sugar & rice continue to scare consumers in state

Bengaluru: Scare of plastic rice, egg and sugar continue to create panic in the state. In last two days, two different incidents of plastic rice and sugar have been.

First incident of plastic sugar was reported from Hasan city where a railway employee by name Shivakumar have lodged a complaint against a kirana shop owner on old bus stand road over mixing the plastic crystals with sugar.Following the complaint, district incharge minister Arakalagod Manju too visited the shop. Hasan taluk administration has sent the sugar sample for lab tests.
