Mangaluru: Coming down heavily on RSS top leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for slamming district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai in connection to the recent Kalladka violence, Zilla Panchayath member Thumbe Prakash Shetty said that Dr Bhat has no right to condemn Rai and that Bhat himself is twisting facts to obtain political mileage.

"Police have identified the real accused in the case. While Haris and Jamal were returning from prayer they were attacked by the accused Mithun and his gang members to disrupt peace," he said adding that there is no doubt that Mithun and his gang members are the real culprits.

"Creating the communal discord in the region is the intention of Prabhakar Bhat, who has protected two rowdy-sheeters. It is now a fact that many Hindu youths are drifting away from Bhat and his organisation. He is desperate to restore his image. Mithun is also prime accused in the Harish Poojary's murder case in Bantwal," said Shetty lauding that Ramanath Rai is a leader for all and not for any one community.

"People love him and the proof for this is the fact that Rai has been elected six times as MLA," he said adding that the SP or the IGP of the region are not obligated to get any certificate from Dr Bhat. Youth Congress President Mithun Rai and others were present during press meet.
