Youth Cong Presidential polls : Amid tight police security, counting begins for DK

Mangaluru: The counting process for the post of Youth Congress president and other office-bearers has begun at the District Congress Committee office, Mallikatte on Thursday May 18.

Mithun Rai and Lukman Bantwal are running for the president post. Meanwhile, tight police security is in place to prevent any untoward incident. It may be recalled that supporters of both candidates had clashed in Bantwal Congress office on Monday in which eight people had suffered injuries.

 In a similar instance that had taken place at Mallikatte last week, candidate for the president post, Lukman was injured,Vehicular movement in the area has been restricted.
