Veteran Kannada actor R N Sudarshan passed away

Bengaluru: Veteran Kannada actor Sudarshan passed away at Sagar Hospital in Tilak Nagar due to multi-organ failure. He was 78.

Sudarshan had been admitted to the Sagar Apollo Hospital.The actor has acted in over 250 films. Mainly seen in Kannada cinema, he has also acted in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam films.

Sudarshan is the son of R Nagendra Rao, one of the founding fathers of the Kannada film industry.His siblings RN Jayagopal was a popular lyricist in Kannada while another brother RNK Prasad was a popular film cinematographer. Sudarshan is survived by his actress wife Shylashree.

Sudarshan debuted in the Kananda film Vijayanagarada Veeraputra directed by his father and written by his brother. He was just 21 when the film released in 1961.
