Girl commits suicide by hanging after failing in exam

Mangaluru: An eighteen-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself after failing in the examinations. The deceased is identified as Suchethana, a resident of Chikamagaluru. She was pursuing her first year Computer Science Engineering in Srinivas College, Valachil and was staying in the hostel.

It is learnt that she took the extreme step after failing in a subject. The girl also left behind a death note which stated that she was solely responsible for her death as she could not fulfil her parents' wish. Mangaluru rural police have registered a case.
