Mumbai: Forgetful of things? Can't remember where you parked your car in the multi-storeyed parking lot? Etc.etc. Well, now there is small device called TrackR. A tracking device, the size of a coin, that can be attached to things like cars, keys, wallets or other important things in your lives.

Made possible thanks to a California-based startup, the tiny device works with your smartphone and doesn't cost a fortune like other GPS devices.

It's pretty simple to operate, really. First, install the free TrackR app on your smartphone, then connect the app to your device. You can attach the TrackR device to whatever you want to keep tabs on such as wallet, briefcase, keys, and just about anything else.

Let's say for example you've forgotten where you've parked your car. Now, what do you do? Just open the TrackR app on your smartphone, tap on the 'lost item' icon on the screen and the app will tell you the exact coordinates of the last known location of the TrackR device.

The advantage of having TrackR over a GPS or tracking service comes down to the cost of owning the device, or monthly subscription.

The app is available for both Android and iOS devices and the TrackR device can be purchased directly from their website.
