IPL 2018: Ravindra Jadeja's dropped catches leave MS Dhoni shell-shocked

Kolkata: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was not a happy man when his teammate Ravindra Jadeja dropped two catches off as many consecutive balls from KM Asif’s over in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday.

The incident happened during the second over of KKR’s run chase. Jadeja was standing at mid-off during both the deliveries, and Dhoni could be seen with an unhappy face following this. As a result, those two drop catches proved to be costly as KKR went on to beat CSK by six wickets, courtesy Shubman Gill’s (57 not out) maiden half-century and Dinesh Karthik’s (45 not out) contribution. CSK next gears up for the Southern derby against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Pune on Saturday, whereas KKR travel to Mumbai to take on bottom-placed Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday.
