Suresh Raina scored his second half-century of the season but it went in vain as Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets in an IPL 2018 game at the MCA International Stadium on Saturday. (CSK vs MI HIGHLIGHTS). Raina’s knock came off 35 balls and included two sixes and six boundaries. But the half-century went in van as MI won by eight wickets.

He shared a 71-run platform with Ambati Rayudu (46) for the second wicket to set the platform for Chennai to set a huge total for Mumbai to chase. (CSK vs MI SCORES). Raina looked in his elements in the beginning on Saturday, dispatching whatever came within his range to the boundary. He started off with a huge six off the bowling of Krunal Pandya. He did struggle a bit as he reached his half century.

Earlier, Mumbai had won the toss and elected to field first. It will be only second time they will be chasing a target this season. The last time they did so, they succumbed to their joint-lowest total in IPL history on a trick Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. They decided to bench out-of-form Kieron Pollard and brought in JP Duminy, who will be playing his first match of the season. Bangladesh’s left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman was also dropped in favour of Aussie Ben Cutting. Chennai didn’t make any changes to their squad.
