Indian captain Virat Kohli scored his sixth double century on day two of the Test against Sri Lanka in New Delhi on Sunday, as the visitors struggled to make any impact on the game.

Kohli, playing in his 63rd Test, took 238 deliveries to complete his second consecutive double hundred

This is the second double century on the trot for the Indian captain.

Making a mockery of the Sri Lankan attack, Kohli reached the milestone in the company of Rohit Sharma who made a fine half-century before lunch.

Virat Kohli now has as many six double centuries as Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.
