New Delhi : India all-rounder Harmanpreet Kaur has been ruled out of the forthcoming Women's Super Series in England due to a shoulder injury. Kaur was supposed to play for Surrey Stars in the T20 competition to be held in between August 10 and September 1.

The 28-year-old middle-order batsman has been advised a month's rest followed by a rehabilitation after an MRI after her return from ICC Women's World Cup 2017.

"I was really looking forward to playing alongside England's World Cup winning cricketers - Natalie Sciver, Tammy Beaumont, Laura Marsh and Alex Hartley," Harman said. "There were a couple of injuries before the final, but I was able to play thanks to our physio Tracy Fernandes," she said. "At one point, it looked like I might have to return from the World Cup. I would like to give full credit to her for playing the full tournament," Kaur added further.

Kaur had a remarkable performance in the recently concluded world cup in which India ended up as runner ups. Her whirlwind knock of 171* against defending champions Australia in the semi-final helped Women In Blue reach their second world cup final.
