India's middle order batswoman Harmanpreet Kaur slammed 171* of 115 deliveries on Thursday put India to a Challenging total of 281/4 against Australia in the Women's World Cup semi-final at Derby. as she smashed 20 fours and seven huge sixes in her innings.

India started slow as they lost both openers Smriti Mandhana and Punam Raut within first 10 overs. Later, skipper Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur stitched together 66-run partnership to steady the Indian innings. However Mithali Raj fell for 36 runs of 61 deliveries. 

Harmanpreet completed her century from 90 balls, and scored 71 more runs from her next 25 balls. She was well supported by Deepti Sharma, who scored 25 and Veda Krishnamurthy scored an unbeaten 16 to help India reach 281/4 in the 42 overs.
