The eleventh edition of the ICC Women World Cup will kick off in England this month. The women's World Cup started way back in 1973. Incidentally, the men’s world cup championship started only in 1975.

England has already hosted two tournaments, in 1973 and 1993. The venues for the current championship are Lords, Derby, Bristol, Leicester and Taunton.
