15th Vice Presidential Election: venkaiah naidu 's victory will be confirmed by 150 votes

The polling for the 15th Vice Presidential polls of the country today is almost certain that the former Union Minister and BJP candidate M Venkaiah naidu will be elected.

Naidu is the vice-president of the UPA-backed candidate and the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, President of the United Nations, by defeating Gopalakrishna Gandhi by over 150 votes.

The polling began at 10 pm on Parliament House and was held at 5 pm. Only the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members have the opportunity to vote. 790 MPs have exercised their rights. The official results will be announced at 7 pm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ministerial colleagues, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, parliamentary leader M. Veerappa Moily, Various parties voted, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rajya Sabha opposition leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. The vice-presidential voting for vice presidential elections has not given whip to any parties. Venkayya Naidu, who has 475 votes and former governor of West Bengal, is expected to get 275 votes.

The NDA has 338 seats in the Lok Sabha and 80 members in the Rajya Sabha. AIADMK, TRS to NDA YSR-Congress has expressed support. These parties have 50 seats in the Lok Sabha and 17 in the Rajya Sabha. There are two in the Lok Sabha and one seat vacant in the Rajya Sabha.
