Senior Congress leader Ambika Soni on Friday resigned from all her party posts, citing poor health as the reason.Soni, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab and former Information and Broadcasting minister, was the party's general secretary in charge of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

"I've requested leadership to relieve me as in-charge of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh due to health reasons," Soni said. Her resignation is yet to be accepted by the party.Sushil Kumar Shinde will take over the charge of Himachal Pradesh even as she continues to stay the Member of Parliament (MP) for Congress.
