Presidential poll: AIADMK MLA’s will support for BJP

The AIADMK (Amma) faction has 38 MPs and 124 MLAs and has declared support for the BJP.

President's election is gaining momentum over a long period of curiosity. The BJP is trying to persuade the regional parties to select a consensus candidate and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Etipadi Palanisawami faction has supported the NDA in a positive development. The AIADMK (Amma) faction has 38 MPs and 124 MLAs and has declared support for the BJP.

On the other hand, former chief minister O. Panweier Selvam has also supported the NDA. There are 12 MPs and 11 legislators in this camp. Meanwhile, the NDA has announced its candidate for the post of president on June 20.
