Dr Veerendra Heggade to become President of India?

New Delhi: As countdown begins for a new person to take up the role of President of World's largest democracy, a sense of hope is catching up in Karnataka as name of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade is also being heard as probable candidate for the revered position.

The social networking sites and several web portals have set abuzz that Dr Heggade, who is not just a spiritual leader but also a great social reformer may be an option of the NDA for the post of the President of India, election for which will be held next month.

On Sunday, BJP National President Amit Shah formed a three-member committee with Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu to scout of candidates for the post.

Social networking sites have several comments stating that Padma Bhushan Dr Heggade is an excellent choice for the position due his capabilities and personality.

Dr Heggade is responsible for a economic revolution in Dakshina Kannada through his brainchild- a micro financing schemes, which have become source of livelihood and hope for lakhs of women in the region.
