Sri Lankan navy arrests four Indian fishermen

Four fishermen were arrested by Sri Lankan navy for allegedly fishing in their territorial waters early today, police said.

They were arrested near Nedunthivu and taken to Kangesanthurai, they said.

Meanwhile, five fishermen from here sustained injuries after the Navy personnel detained and beaten them up last night for crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line, police said.

The fishermen were later let off, they said.
