New Delhi: As part of the ongoing rejig in the Congress, actor-politician Ramya Divya Spandana has been given the charge of the Congress' social media campaign, replacing Deepender Hooda, who is expected to be given organisational responsibility.

The development comes following rumors that Ramya may follow the footsteps of her mentor S M Krishna and join BJP. However the actress has vehemently denied these rumours.

Also it is felt that Ramya, who is an active participant on Twitter, is better suited to handle the partys social media campaign. Many in the party also said that the Congress had been at the receiving end on social media, while other parties like the BJP and the AAP have robust social media teams and campaigns.

Meanwhile, Hooda is expected to join the AICC organisation soon as secretary. Sources add that he is expected to be in charge of Himachal Pradesh. The state goes to polls at the end of this year.
