After a long free trial, Reliance Jio has finally started discontinuing services for people who don't paid for recharges yet. It is an ongoing process that will take a few more days to complete for all; but Reliance Jio has confirmed that its free-ride is coming to an end. On the Reliance Jio website and also the Jio app, you can see that there are only three prepaid options available right now; no postpaid plans are listed anymore.

That means that you have to get a recharge, but the options available are a lot more limited than Reliance Jio originally stated. In September, the company revealed prepaid and postpaid tariffs, with monthly plans at Rs 149, then Rs 299, Rs 499, all the way up to Rs 4,999 - eight monthly prepaid plans, and a similar number of postpaid plans.
