Jayalalithaa DA Case: Supreme Court to consider Karnataka's review petition today

The Supreme Court Bench of Justices PC Ghose and Amitava Roy is due to consider a review petition filed by the Government of Karnataka in connection to Disappropriate Assets case of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa.

It is said that the Bench will decide on the petition by circulation and also consider an application for 'personal hearing' before the Court.

The Supreme Court, in its findings dated February 14, 2017 had stated that the corruption case against Jayalalithaa stands abated with her demise on December 5, 2016. Karnataka state contended the same stating that it was an error on the face of the record.
