Sugar drops on reduced demand

Mumbai, Jun 20 (PTI) Prices of both the varieties of sugar dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers and ample supply from producing regions.

Small sugar (S-30) eased by Rs 10/20 per quintal to Rs 3,110/3,222 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,120/3,242.
Medium sugar (M-30) also declined by Rs 16 per quintal to Rs 3,160/3,442 per quintal as compared to its yesterday's level of Rs 3,176/3,442.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: 
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,110/3,222 (Rs 3,120/3,242).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,160/3,442 (Rs 3,176/3,442).
