Among a number of things people do with a view to lose weight, maintaining a healthy diet is a crucial factor. But while watching what you eat is important, keeping a tab on when you eat can also make a difference.

Researchers have discovered that avoiding a late-night snack and an early breakfast is the key to losing weight. Despite a high fat diet, people may gain less weight if they are able to eat only for half of the day. It has been observed in earlier studies that the obesity crisis is fuelled by mid-night snacking. Experts say eating within a 12-hour window during the day or night can regulate signals that control appetite.
