A US-Bangla Airlines plane carrying 67 passengers and four crew crash-landed on Monday, 12 March, after catching fire at Nepal's international airport in Kathmandu. According to media reports, at least 30 passengers have been rescued and rushed to the hospital It was not immediately clear if there were fatalities

The plane caught fire after it careened off the runway during landing and crashed onto a football ground near the airport, TIA spokesperson Prem Nath Thakur told the media The airport has been closed for all departures and arrivals The aircraft took off from Dhaka and landed at the airport at 2:20 pm
