A JCO and a girl were among the three injured in a terrorist strike at an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir. Three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists barged into the JCO family quarters in the garrison of the 36 Army Brigade and opened fire. The incident took place in the Sunjwan area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Security forces have cordoned off the area around the Sunjawan Army camp after shots were heard inside. The forces are responding to the attack. There were intelligence inputs about a terror strike on an Army camp a few days back. The intelligence stated that an attack is likely on the death anniversary of Afzal Guru. The attack comes a few days after terrorists carried out a strike at an Army Camp in Pulwama on February 5. Terrorists had hurled a grenade at the camp which houses a unit of the Rashtriya Rifles. Last week four Indian soldiers, three jawans and a Captain were martyred in unprovoked firing by Pakistan at the Bhimber Gali sector of Rajouri district. Two jawans were also injured in the incident.
