Fodder scam case : Court sentences Lalu Prasad Yadav to 3.5 years in prison

The quantum of sentence for RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 others in fodder scam case has been announced today after being rescheduled for two days now.

Lalu Prasad Yadav has been sentenced to 3.5 years in jail and Rs 5 lakh fine by Ranchi Court The quantum of sentence was announced at 4 pm, today, via video conferencing. Convicts Phool Chand, Mahesh Prasad, Bake Julious, Sunil Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Sudhir Kumar and Raja Ram were also sentenced to 3.5 years in jail along with a fine of Rs 5 lakh fine each.  Jagdish Sharma gets 7 years in jail, imposed with a fine of Rs. 10 lakh.
