Select base metals fall on sluggish demand

Mumbai : Select base metals including copper, aluminium, zinc, lead, tin and nickel fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid sluggish demand from industrial users.

While, brass utensils scrap gained further owing to a good demand from consuming industries.Nickel prices slipped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 750 from Saturday's close at Rs 760 and tin eased by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,320 as against Rs 1,325.Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper billets moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 432, Rs 422 and Rs 460 as compared with Rs 435, Rs 425 and Rs 463, respectively.

Copper Utensils scrap fell by Rs 2 per kg to close at Rs 387.Copper Armiture, Copper sheet cuttings, Aluminium Ingots, Zinc and Lead edged down by Rs 1 per kg each to Rs 414, Rs 409, Rs 148, Rs 231 and Rs 166, respectively.However, brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 1 per kg to Rs 317 as against Rs 316 previously.
