Sumitra Bhave to get Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter Award

Kolhapur: Noted Marathi filmmaker Sumitra Bhave will be honoured with the Kalamaharshi Baburao Painter Sanman, instituted by the Kolhapur International Film Festival (KIFF).

The director will receive the award during the inaugural ceremony, to be held here on December 14, festival's organising committee acting president Chandrakant Joshi told reporters here.

Renowned art director Nitin Desai will be awarded with the Chitratantramahrshi Aanandrao Painter Sanman on December 21 at the closing ceremony of the festival, Joshi added.The KIFF will be inaugurated by well-known filmmaker Subhash Ghai.Over 60 regional and international films will be screened at the festival.
