Medium sugar recovers on fresh demand

Mumbai : Medium sugar recovered marginally at the Vashi wholesale market here today following fresh demand from stockists and retailers.

While, small sugar weakened further owing to lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.Medium sugar (M-30) gained by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,606/3,792 from Tuesday's close Rs 3,606/3,782.

However, small sugar dropped by Rs 20/14 per quintal to Rs 3,450/3,566 as against Rs 3,470/3,580 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,450/3,566 (Rs 3,470/3,580).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,606/3,792 (Rs 3,606/3,782).
