Ryan School murder case: Class XI boy detained by CBI

A class 11 boy was detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the murder of Pradyuman Thakur, student of the Ryan International School.

The CBI which has not revealed the name of the student as he is a juvenile said that the motive was to get the exam and parents teachers' meet postponed. The CBI said that the child in conflict of law wanted to have both the examination and parent teachers's meet. This came up during out initial investigation, the CBI also said.

Further the CBI negated the theory of the local police which had arrested a conductor and accused him of both murdering and sexually assaulting the boy. No such theory has come up in our investigations, the CBI further added. CBI sources say that the decision to arrest the boy was taken last night. The source further said that the CCTV was the turning point in the case. The movement of the boy was found in the washroom where the murder took place.
