The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition that sought the setting up of a one man commission to probe the death of Jayalalithaa.

The petition questioned the constitutional valdity of the commission and sought that its setting up be quashed. The court however refused to give any directive and dismissed the petition.

The Tamil Nadu government had recently set up a one man commission headed by retired High Court judge Armughaswamy. The commission was set up after many raised concerns about the death of the former Tamil Nadu CM. Some alleged that the death was suspicious in nature.
