As the China's ruling Communist Party started its week-long once-in-a-five-year Congress in Beijing, Tibetan Youth Congress in India launched protests in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh against Chinese President Xi Jinping's regime.

Tibetan Youth Congress activists on Wednesday protested outside Chinese Embassy in Delhi and raise 'we want freedom' and 'free Tibet' slogans.

Later, they were detained by the police. Meanwhile, an organization for Tibetans' rights staged a protest against Chinese President Xi Jinping in Dharamsala's McLeod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh. Sonam Tso, organisation's director, said: "We want to highlight atrocities Xi Jinping's regime has implemented across Tibet and occupied regions in China".
