Airtel offers 3 GB data/day, unlimited calls to counter Reliance Jio

To counter Reliance Jio, Airtel has come up with a new Rs 799 special recharge for select users. Under this new plan, Airtel offers free, unlimited local and STD calls.

This Airtel plan is available for prepaid users only. Apart from unlimited calling, the users will also get 3 GB of either 3G or 4G data per day. The validity of this plan is of 28 days. So, users need to recharge the plan every 28 days in order to retain all the benefits. It’s a perfect plan for those who consume more data on a daily basis.

This plan will directly take on Reliance Jio iPhone offer. In this deal, Jio offers 90GB of data, free SMS, unlimited voice calls and Jio subscription to Jio services for Rs 799. The validity of this plan is also 28 days. Apart from this, Jio has another similar plan for Rs 509 for its prepaid customers, offering unlimited data, voice calls, and SMS. It has a daily limit (FUP) of 2GB of data up to 112GB. Once the limit exceeds, speed will be further reduced to 128kbps.
