Google will let you translate to 7 Indian languages on offline mode

Search engine giant Google has rolled out offline support for seven Indian languages to its ‘Translate’ app, enabling visual translation of road signs from English to regional languages as well.

The company has added support for Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Gujrati and Telugu. The support for Hindi language is already present."In an effort to bring down language barriers, Google today announced several updates to its Translate App. Google Translate has also added support for conversation mode in regional languages including Bengali and Tamil," the US-based firm told in a statement to new agency PTI.

In order to use translations on offline mode, users will need to download the specific language pack available on the Translate app, which could be done when connected to the internet.In the recent updates, Google has also included instant visual translation. This means, using the Translate app, people will be able to translate text like road signs or restaurants menu written in English via a phone’s camera.
