Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari has formed an inquiry committee to examine the causes of BJP's defeat in the Bawana Assembly by-polls. BJP's North West Delhi MP Udit Raj, who was sulking for being sidelined from the election campaign, will head the committee, a senior BJP leader said.

Notably, Bawana Assembly segment comes under Raj's parliamentary constituency but he was not assigned any major responsibility during the elections.

A party insider said Raj has been asked to submit a report detailing all possible reasons of defeat within three days. AAP candidate Ram Chander bagged 59,886 votes in the bypoll, while the BJP that had fielded AAP turncoat Ved Prakash, finished a distant second with 35,834 votes.
