AIADMK merger: OPs as deputy CM, Sasikala to be removed

A protracted feud in Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK ended on Monday after chief minister E Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam united their factions.

Panneerselvam is going to become the deputy chief minister and three of his MLAs are likely to get ministerial berths.Chief Minister K. Palaniswami will be the Joint Coordinator, the Chief Minister announced at a brief function at the party headquarters here while announcing the merger.

Party general secretary VK Sasikala may be removed from her position.Governor Vidyasagar Rao has also reached Chennai and will administer oaths of offices to new ministers at 4.30pm.
