India and China are likely to hold a flag meeting to discuss the border skirmishes after yesterday's clashes at Ladakh in which the soldiers from both sides pelted stones at each other.

While China has denied any such incident, Indian officials did speak about a minor skirmish at the border.Incursion by the Chinese was reportedalong the banks of famous Pangong lake in Ladakh. The Chinese resorted to stone pelting that caused minor injuries to people on both sides, officials said. Sources say that there was a scuffle between both sides.

The Chinese resorted to stone pelting when the Indian side blocked two attempts made by the People's Liberation Army. The Chinese tried to enter Indian territory at the Finger-4 and Finger-5 areas early on Tuesday morning. The two attempts were made at 6 am and 9 am. The Indian soldiers formed a human chain while blocking the Chinese. The Chinese then began pelting stones at the Indian side. The Indian side then retaliated following which the Chinese were chased away from the area.

Personnel from both sides received minor injuries and the situation was brought under control after the customary banner drill under which both sides hold banners before stepping back to their respective positions. Chinese troops had managed to enter upto Finger Four area in the region from where they were sent back. This area has been a bone of contention between India and China as both claim it to be a part of their territory.
