Venkaiah Naidu sworn in as India's 13th Vice President

The Vice-President elect Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu took oath as the next Vice-President of India on Friday at Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan at 10 am. Naidu is the 13th Vice President of India. He is also the first BJP vice-president of India.

All Union ministers along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a number of dignitaries present. Following the ceremony, the new vice-president also took charge as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. 

Former prime minister Manmohan Singh, BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, other BJP leaders are also present at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.Hamid Ansari, whose term as vice president ended on Thursday, greets Union ministers at the Durbar Hall, where Naidu took oath.

Earlier today, Naidu paid tribute to Deen Dayal Upadhaya at DDU Park. He also paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Patel Chowk before taking oath as the Vice President of India.
